  • Pastor Tyler is preaching a sermon series entitled, "Certainties of the Faith: The Epistle of 1 John."  In this series, we'll look at the book of 1 John where we'll see three themes conveyed regarding faithfulness to the basics of Christianity: joy, holiness, and security.  We'll also see three factors spelled out in what true Christianity looks like: sound faith, obedience, and love.  When these three factors operate in harmony with one another, they result in joy, holiness, and assurance.  This, therefore, constitutes the evidence or the litmus test, of a true Christian.

  • Starting on Sunday, December 1st, Pastor Tyler will be preaching through a sermon series entitled, "Preparing for the King."  In this Advent series, we'll take a look at some Old Testament passages that aren't normally looked at during the Christmas season and see how they share with us the preparation God went to in the events that led up to that night in a stable many years ago in Bethlehem.

  • Calvary is now offering Sunday school for the following age groups: Pre-school and kindergarten, 1st-4th grade, 5th-8th grade, and an adult class.  Sunday school starts at 9:00 a.m.

  • Our men's Bible study meets on Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m.  We are studying the books of 1 & 2 Thessalonians.  All men are welcome to attend!

  • Come join the women at Calvary Evangelical Free Church as we dig into the book of Titus.  The Bible study is on Thursdays at 1:00 p.m., here at Calvary.

  • Calvary will once again be participating in the “Friends of Jesus Christmas Toy Drive” this year.  More information about this ministry, how you can give if you feel led to do so, and labels for the gifts are on a sheet on the table in the entryway.

  • Mark your calendars!  On Saturday, December 7th at 10 a.m., we are looking at having a time of Christmas caroling, with soup and sandwiches to follow.  The plan (if we have enough people to sign up) is to go caroling at a couple of nursing homes/assisted living facilities in Muskego, then come back here to the church afterwards for soup, sandwiches and fellowship.  If you are interested in attending this event, please sign the sign-up sheet on the table in the entryway.

  • Our church will be one of the hosting locations for this year’s Salvation Army Christmas Concert.  This will be put on by the Waukesha County Corps, featuring the award-winning Nordic Brass and the String Quartet of the Wisconsin Philharmonic.  Tickets for this event can be purchased at waukeshasalvationarmy.org.
